GENERAL INFO:

Recreational Lacrosse is open to Boys ages 4-14 and Girls ages 4 - 14.  Players of any and all skill levels are encouraged to play!  The season runs late January – Early May.

BOYS - Boys must supply their own equipment. This includes helmets, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, athletic cup, and mouth guard.

GIRLS - Girls must supply their own goggles and stick.

**About our League and South Florida Youth Lacrosse:** NEW FAMILIES PLEASE READ
Because lacrosse is still a growing sport in South Florida, the local teams all play each other to ensure the kids get game experience.  Otherwise it would be purely scrimmage.  Our league has 10 teams: Wellington, Boca, Davie, Delray, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach Gardens, Parkland, Plantation, and Weston that are governed by South Florida Youth Lacrosse League.  We all get together to come up with a game schedule.  Each team hosts 4-5 weekends.  For the additional games we are at someone else's fields.  So while this is a rec program, there is local travel involved.  Games are on Saturdays only and we try to schedule as many double headers as possible to make it worth everyone's time.  This isn't possible every weekend but as the sport grows and the league grows it gets easier.  

**Why We Require a US Lacrosse membership:  On the following page, you will be asked to provide your child's current and valid US Lacrosse membership number. WYLA Lacrosse and the league we play in, South Florida Youth Lacrosse League (SFYLL), both require all players, coaches, referees, and league officials to have a valid US Lacrosse membership that expires after our season ends, and we must have proof of it. In addition to the other benefits of being a member of US Lacrosse, The US Lacrosse Member Insurance Program provides General Liability and Accident Medical Insurance to all members while participating in covered amateur lacrosse activities. US Lacrosse partners with Bollinger Insurance to provide exclusive on-the-field coverage for all US Lacrosse members. If you do not have insurance, this coverage will serve as your primary insurance. If you have insurance, US Lacrosse’s policy becomes your secondary policy.
